The Watanabe Shimadori Kabusecha is like a sudden shower on the island of Yakushima. The subliminal, sweet smell of fresh fruit emanating from the leaves conveys a sense of foreboding. A foreboding that comes true when you drink the pleasantly soft infusion. A light, persistent umami accompanies and refreshes long after the rain has stopped.
