The black clay sieve single-handled pot from the pottery town of Tokoname is characterized by an artfully worked surface structure. Ring-shaped, the slightly fluted structure wraps around the body of the kyusu. Only the foot, the upper rim and the handle of the lid are unstructured. A finely dotted line acts as a demarcation.
The dark clay, a warm, subtle black, is completely unglazed. The clay sieve is very finely crafted, making the pot excellent for brewing fine teas such as Kabuse or even Gyokuro.
Japanese handmade.

Total width including handle: approx. 17cm
