Tsuyu Hikari is the name for a new tea hybride, originating from a junction of tea bush variety Asatsuyu, also known as "natural Gyokuro" and the Shizu7132, famous for its fresh aroma.
In addition to a fresh aroma at low tides, this tea is distinguished by a strong umami and long lasting depth in the taste. After its registration in 2000 it lasted eight years until the beginning of a first production and because of a scarce space offer this tea is still very limited and is considered a rarity.
