The climatic conditions in Okuyame act as a natural protective shield against pests - extreme cold and snowfall make pesticides simply superfluous. Instead, the experienced tea farmers rely on proven, organic cultivation with fermented bokashi fertilizers. Each tea bush is monitored for months and carefully cared for - with a great deal of expertise, patience and dedication.

The result: a premium Sencha that won an award at the Japanese national competition for top teas in 2017 - a rare accolade in the world of green tea.

Sensory properties with a clear signature
