On the basis of taste criteria, any experienced tea connoisseur would probably classify the Go En as a high-quality Gyokuro. However, the Go En does not gain its pleasantly soft sweetness exclusively from the intensive shade, but owes it also to the use of the extraordinarily sweet and mild bush variety Oku Midori. A fresh green accent is given to the Go En by the Minami Sayaka variety. At first glance, the very fine grading is immediately noticeable, but only on closer inspection does the Go En trumpet with another special feature: The leaves are crimped, as we know it from Tamaryokucha (Guricha).
Exactly said it is a Mushi-Guri-Cha that is strongly shadowed, thus a tea steamed like Sencha or Gyokuro, which is not rolled, however, like the two relatives to needles. Instead, a drum-shaped machine decorated with bamboo shapes the taste and shape of this outstanding tea.
